So much of our lives today is centered around our “stuff”. Physical stuff, emotional stuff, financial stuff. Somewhere in there is life and many of us are missing it. Relationships with family and friends. Interactions at work and at church. Because our stuff is in the way, we can’t see or we hide from what’s going on around us. Then one day something catastrophic happens. We lose a loved one. We get a diagnosis. All of a sudden our stuff doesn’t mean anything anymore. We wish we could turn back the clock and give those relationships the attention they deserved but we can’t.
That’s what Getting Back to Basics is all about. Slowing down and cherishing the time we have on this planet because, in a flash, it will be gone. My name is Tina and I am a happily married mother of 6. Please allow me to take you on a journey that I hope will deepen your relationships with others and foremost with God.
Hi Tina, this is Kristi! Your poetry is so beautiful!!! I come from a poetic family!!! I really appreciate what you have written!!!
So glad to see that you have found my blogs! Thank you for your comments. Now that Matt is more stable I plan to do more on both of them. No appointments next week I can call you so we can talk blogging.
Thank you, Kristi! Sorry I’m just responding our youngest ended up needing major hip surgery and we are just now getting back to “normal”. Plan to do more writing soon but, when you get a chance, check out my other blog, “Matthew’s Manna”. I’ve posted a few new posts on that one recently.
